Getting Started

If you attended a workshop hosted by your Close To My Heart Consultant, you’ll already have most of the necessary products required to create the bonus project. Simply order the items noted below with an asterisk, and you’re all set!

If you haven’t attended a workshop and would like to create the artwork shown here, please contact me to order the supplies.

Helpful Hints

To create the featured bonus project, follow the helpful hints outlined below.

• Trace ornament bases on corresponding papers using this cutting guide, then cut along traced lines and attach papers to ornaments.

  • Alternatively, coordinating shapes for the ornaments can be cut using the Cricut^® Art Philosophy cartridge. Information about shapes and sizes can be found on the packaging of the Dimensional Elements Ornaments.
• Sponge remaining surfaces and edges of ornaments 1, 4, 7 and edges of ornament 2 in Olive ink.
• Sponge remaining surfaces of ornaments 3 and 5 in Cranberry ink.
• Sponge remaining surfaces and edges of ornament 6 in Cashmere ink.

• Ornament 1

  • Stamp snowflake in Cranberry ink in diagonal rows on ornament 1 base Cranberry cardstock.
  • Trim 1 1/2" of Cranberry baker’s twine; wrap and tie to top layer of ornament 1.
  • Attach ornament 1 top layer to base using 3-D foam tape. Add red Glitz glitter gel as shown.

• Ornament 2

  • Apply postcard glittery rub-on to ornament 2 top layer and trim out center.
  • Attach 3 Sparkles to ornament 2 top layer.
  • Attach photo to inside of ornament 2 layer and trim edges.
  • Attach ornament 2 layer to ornament 2 base using 3-D foam tape.

• Ornament 3

  • Attach red Sparkles to ornament 3 top layer directly over punch-out circles.
  • Cover surface with red Glitz glitter gel as shown. Set aside to dry.

• Ornament 4

  • Apply snowflake and flourish rub-ons to ornament 4. Add red Glitz glitter gel as shown.

• Ornament 5

  • Stamp flourish in Cranberry ink on ornament 5 layer. Add red Glitz glitter gel and Sparkles as shown.
  • Attach ornament 5 layer to ornament 5 base using 3-D foam tape.

• Ornament 6

  • Apply border rub-on to ornament 6 top layer as shown.
  • Punch circles from ornament 6 layer.
  • Attach ornament 6 layer to ornament 6 base. Add Sparkles to punched-out holes.

• Ornament 7

  • Punch circles from ornament 7 top layer.
  • Attach ornament 7 top layer to base and add purple Sparkles.
• Cut six 3" lengths of baker’s twine in desired colors. Tie around tops of ornaments as shown.
